Well, it’s about 7 a.m., and everyone is starting to roll out of bed. I walk out into the hallway and find Adam (impatiently) waiting at the top of the stairs…

Christmas Morning

After I get the coffee brewing, we’re ready to get down to business. Adam has already found the jelly beans, so as far as he’s concerned, there’s no need to go any further…

Jelly Beans

Alex, on the other hand, is just randomly opening presents. I don’t think this “House” DVD set was intended for him…

After burrowing beneath the tree and shredding every piece of wrapping paper, we coax the boys downstairs where they find…a TRAMPOLINE! I mean, what else would they have, right? Remember, these are the guys that had Basement Bouncy-House!

This afternoon the boys road the train for the first time. We were going into Philly to see the Christmas lights, but the highlight of the trip was the train! They were pretty excited, especially Adam, who of course, was not very patient at all…

Of course there was only one way to keep them from crossing the yellow line at the edge of the platform…

The boys and daddy

And so YADDA, YADDA, YADDA, we walked around Philly until FINALLY! The boys are back in the train station for the ride back home! Adam is still impatient…

Alex tells a story

Alex, on the other hand, just can’t stop talking about his trip to Philly!

Here we are again at Peddler’s Village. I guess Adam has had enough fun for one day!

Going Going Gone

…and so has Alex (but not Nana)…

Today is the boys’ 3rd birthday! Naturally, they received the traditional birthday-cake-made-out-of-cupcakes-shaped-into-the-number-of-their-age. Please note that they EACH received a cake because heaven forbid that they feel slighted in any way. They’re also the recipients of about a bazillion balloons! Well, maybe I’m exaggerating just a little bit…

It’s a dangerous world we live-in and Lamby is experiencing that fact first-hand. We thought Alex had left his lamb behind at Chris and Sherrie’s, but he was evidently taken hostage by a terrorist cell. Cindy was quick to react pledging that “We’re coming to rescue you!”, but I had to overrule her because, of course, we don’t negotiate with terrorists…and besides, Alex has another lamb.

So, do what you will vile terrorist! We have another lamb! 😛

.: UPDATE :.

December 4: Just received a FedEx package from the terrorist: Lamby is back home safe and sound.
